An accomplished artist and educator, I have been totally involved in creating art and teaching art since graduating Brooklyn College MFA.
I have studied painting with the artist Will Barnett at the Art Students League in NYC, and anatomy and drawing at the Fleischer Art Memorial in Philadelphia. Classes with noted artists, Jimmy Ernst, Burgoyne Diller and Ad Reinhardt, and workshops with prominent AWS watercolorists, Robert Sakson and Tony Couch have added to knowledge of media and technique. My paintings, pastels and collages have been exhibited in galleries in Philadelphia and New Jersey and recognized with numerous awards and featured artist invitationals.
I have taught art in New York City and New Jersey public schools and instructed painting and drawing in adult education and private classes. I currently supervise student teachers as an adjunct professor at Rowan University and present workshops for New Jersey art teachers.
My professional affiliations include the Center for the Arts of Southern New Jersey, Medford Art Center, Burlington County Art Guild, Willingboro Art Alliance and the New Jersey Pastel Painters Society.
