Working in a variety of techniques, I focus on dynamic relationships between shape and line. For my abstract pieces, I arrange found and designed papers, then paint, scribble, add, remove and enrich composition until it “feels complete.” My objective is to create artworks that are balanced, harmonious and intriguing.
My landscapes in pastel and watercolor are inspired by my visits to Cape Cod, Maine and the Hamptons. Utilizing “plein air” sketches, and photos and photographs my objective is to capture the uniqueness of scene. I work on location and in the studio.
My work has been featured in Philadelphia and NJ galleries and recognized with numerous prizes.
